BodyCam Analytics (“BodyCam Analytics,” “we,” “us”) provides software that transcribes and helps licensed legal professionals review body-camera and other case footage. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and the BodyCam Analytics application.

Your footage and transcripts are encrypted in transit and at rest, always.
We don't access it
We do not view or listen to your footage. Access is restricted, and logged.
Yours to delete
Delete any recording — or your whole account — whenever you choose.
1.Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Service:
- Account information — your name, email address, and firm or organization. Sign-in credentials are handled by Firebase Authentication.
- Case footage and transcripts — the video and audio files you upload, the transcripts and review outputs the Service generates, and the review questions, bookmarks, lists, notes, and edits you create.
- Billing information — your subscription plan and billing status. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor; we never receive or store full card numbers.
- Usage and technical data — log data, device and browser information, IP address, and the minimal analytics needed to operate, secure, and support the Service.
2.How we use information
We use the information above to:
- provide the Service — transcription, search, and the review tooling;
- send transactional email, such as “transcript ready” notifications, and respond to your support requests;
- process payments and manage your subscription;
- secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information or your case content. We do not use your footage or transcripts for advertising, and we do not use them to train AI models.
3.Your case footage and transcripts
Body-camera footage is among the most sensitive material a practice handles, and we treat it that way. For the content you upload and the transcripts we generate from it:
- It is encrypted. All footage and transcripts are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).
- We do not access it. BodyCam Analytics personnel do not view or listen to your footage or transcripts in the ordinary course of operating the Service. Administrative access to the systems that store customer content is limited to a minimal number of administrators, protected by multi-factor authentication, and recorded in audit logs. We access customer content only when you explicitly ask us to — for example, to help troubleshoot a problem you report.
- It is not used to train AI. Your content is processed only to produce your transcripts and review outputs. It is never used to train or improve any AI model — ours or our providers'.
- It is not sold or shared except with the limited service providers listed below, strictly to operate the Service for you.

4.Service providers
We rely on a small set of vendors to run the Service, each bound by contract to protect your data and use it only to provide their service to us:
- Google Cloud (Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Run) — AI transcription, encrypted file storage, database, and hosting, under Google Cloud's Business Associate Agreement.
- Firebase Authentication (Google) — account sign-in.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — delivery of transactional email.
We do not authorize these providers to use your case content for their own purposes.
5.Data retention and deletion
You stay in control of your data:
- You can delete any recording and its transcripts at any time from within the app. Deleted content is removed from active storage promptly and purged from encrypted backups within 30 days.
- You can request deletion of your entire account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@bodycamanalytics.com.
- If you cancel your subscription, you may delete your data yourself immediately, or ask us to. Data tied to a cancelled account is kept for 30 days — so you can resubscribe or export it — and then permanently deleted, unless you request earlier deletion.
- We retain limited billing records for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
6.Your rights and choices
Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights within the app or by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
7.Security
We protect your data with encryption, strict access controls, and continuous monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, but security is central to how the Service is built. See the Security page for details.
8.Children
BodyCam Analytics is a professional tool intended for licensed legal professionals. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, communicated to you by email.
